This is a comprehensive list of upcoming and recurrent programs for adults. Online registration is offered via web calendar. You may also register in-person, or by phone at 815-786-8308. Registration is not required for programs unless noted; however, you may choose to register for any program if desired.

Please note: If programs that require registration do not reach minimum capacity 48 hours before scheduled date, the program may be cancelled. If such a situation occurs, you will be notified by phone prior to original program time.

Discover your own road to financial independence with Rick Ryder from Primerica. Learn how to manage your income to the best of your ability and manage your money effectively and independently.

Genealogy Series 3: Online Vs. Software
January 23rd | 6:30pm
Join professional Genealogist Laura Chaplin for the next stage in genealogy research. This class will cover the differences between online and software genealogical resources with the goal to help you determine efficient ways to research your ancestry.

Mary Kubica: Author Event
January 24th | 6:30pm
The Sandwich Library warmly welcomes best-selling thriller author, Mary Kubica, for a special author event! Program will include a discussion about Mary Kubica’s writing, novels, and newest book When the Lights Go Out. A Q&A session will follow.

Big Band Memories
January 29th | 6:30pm
Do you love music? Then you will love this program! Join musician/historian Steve Cooper (whom has played private parties for Julie Andrews, Oprah Winfrey, Mary Tyler Moore and more!) for quite the melodic night! Big Band Memories will feature a lecture on the best big bands and vocalists with great “behind the scenes” stories and even some very humorous clips.

o * Special program highlight description: Ageless Grace is a Brain Health Fitness program that uses physical games to stimulate and exercise the body and brain. Anyone, at any age, including those with physical disabilities and challenges, can participate at his or her own level of ability. Be sure not to miss this incredibly beneficial program.

Adult Craft Night
1st Tuesdays |  6:30pm
Feeling crafty? Come to Adult Craft Night!  All materials will be provided. The program takes place the first Tuesday of every month. Ages 16+. Registration is required and available online or at the library. There are only ten open spots due to material provisional restraints, so make sure to register early! Registration required. Reader's Haven Book Club

Come enjoy a lively discussion about the month’s club pick! Copies of the club books are available in regular, large print, and audio formats to everyone. Art Therapy NEW*

De-stress & relax by enjoying a hour filled with relaxing music, camaraderie, and a varying  art styles. Be free with what you create, there are no themed projects, just themed supplies.

Chess Club
2nd Wednesdays | 6pm

3rd Thursdays | 1pm
Challenge your peers with a good, old-fashioned game of chess. Group is open to all skill levels. There is no instruction. Just come on in, find a seat and start playing. Three chessboards will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!

Filmology NEW*

Join us for our new movie club! Step 1: Watch the movie. Step 2: Discuss with peers! There will be a monthly showing of each film. In case you miss it, copies will be available at the circulation desk for checkout. Note: Discussion dates are separate from showing dates*

The Recycling Hour NEW*

The library is going green! We recycle numerous items such as plastic bags, ink cartridges, batteries and more. You may recycle items here at any time, but the hour from 12-1pm on the 4th Saturdays is dedicated solely to recycling! Click here for info on what we recycle.
